Let me be totally honest. Over the last 33 years I have not stayed in any other place so comfortably than my childhood home in Polhengoda. Am I biased ? Absolutely with sound reasoning. There’s a comfort and nostalgia here that’s simply irreplaceable. The familiar sounds of the surrounding, the scent of home-cooked meals that linger in the air, and even the way the sunlight filters through the windows—each little detail brings back a flood of memories from my younger days. It’s grounding and soothing, reminding me of where I come from and all the warmth that shaped me.
